The 2026 Maruti Brezza facelift has been spied testing with minimal camouflage, all but confirming a festive-season update for India’s best-selling compact SUV. Expect sharper styling, a much bigger touchscreen, and — for the first time — the option of Maruti’s 1.0-litre turbo-petrol, with prices likely starting around ₹8.50 lakh. It’s an evolution, not a reinvention, aimed squarely at the Nexon, Venue and Sonet.

What’s new on the outside

The spy shots reveal a wider grille with a thicker chrome bar, a reworked front bumper and a more pronounced silver skid plate. Maruti is also expected to add new alloy wheel designs, a redesigned rear bumper and connected LED tail-lamps — the styling cues that buyers now expect at this price. The silhouette stays familiar, so this is a confident refresh rather than a clean-sheet redesign.

Inside: a bigger screen and more kit

The cabin is where the real upgrade lands. Expect a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen (shared with the Victoris), a new steering wheel, a digital driver’s display, a powered driver’s seat and ventilated front seats. These additions close the feature gap with rivals that had pulled ahead of the outgoing Brezza.

Engine: a turbo joins the line-up

The headline mechanical change is the likely addition of the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol from the Fronx, making 100 bhp and 147 Nm — a welcome shot of urgency for an SUV that has always felt adequate rather than eager. The familiar 1.5-litre petrol and the popular factory CNG option are expected to continue, possibly with an underbody CNG tank (as on the Victoris) to free up boot space.

Expected price and launch

A festive-2026 launch looks likely. Pricing is expected to start near ₹8.50 lakh and stretch to around ₹13.10 lakh (ex-showroom), a modest hike justified by the added features and the turbo option. Treat exact figures as estimates until Maruti confirms them.
